Spiritual Care for Nurses (SCAN)

The Nurses Christian Fellowship Australia presents

Spiritual Care for Nurses (SCAN)

A new course for nurses, midwives, & other healthcare professionals

NCFA is offering a brand new course, endorsed by the Australian College of Nursing with six CPD hours.

Spiritual Care for Nurses (SCAN) adopts an adult-centric teaching model that encourages participant interaction because we value your life experiences and contributions towards lifelong learning together.

The six-session course covers the Australian spiritual care context for nurses, midwives and healthcare workers.

The barriers and opportunities, assessment tools, global evidence-based research, strategies for self-care and practical changes that are required to apply holistic spiritual care in the current clinical environment are covered.

SCAN is being presented for the first time, so we are keen to engage with as many healthcare workers as possible.

In the future NCFA will provide a virtual version of SCAN, so that those who cannot attend in person will not miss out.

NCFA asks that you show proof of up-to-date vaccination as we comply with NSW Health COVID-safe precautions for face-to-face meetings.

This educational training is endorsed by ACN according to their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Endorsed Course Standards.

It has been allocated six CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Continuing Professional Development Standard.
